Fees for Services

Our therapists are licensed and/or nationally certified professional counselors, who provide quality mental health care services with a biblical foundation. The usual rates are $120 for the diagnostic visit, and $100 for each subsequent visit This fee compares reasonably with fees of other Mental Health professionals. Safe Harbor Christian Counseling of S MD does not accept assignment of insurance benefits. However, many health insurance companies will reimburse our clients under their Major Medical coverage and some of our counselors are in-network, non-participating members of some Provider Networks. Please call your insurance company for their specific requirements for reimbursement and ask our office staff if you need help with providing specific information for your insurance provider.

For those who may have difficulty paying and do not have insurance, we offer a sliding scale based on gross household income. If you have been offered a reduced fee based on income, please bring a copy of your recent 1040 or other federal tax form with you at the time of your first appointment to meet eligibility requirements for the reduced fee.

Payment for Services

Within our policy guidelines, your therapist will look to you for full payment of your account, and you will be responsible for payments of all charges including NSF Bank charges or credit cards that are declined. If you need financial assistance please discuss this matter ahead of time with the office staff.
